Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 16, 2026
AI Fallout is a public story archive for real AI impact today and clearly labeled fictional warnings about possible AI futures.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how Google Sign-In data is handled, and what choices you have.
Who operates AI Fallout
For launch, the service is operated under the name AI Fallout. If a separate legal company or operating entity is added later, this page will be updated before that entity is used for user data processing.

How we use information
- Provide the platform, including accounts, published story pages, comments, reactions, voting, reports, notifications, and admin moderation.
- Authenticate users through Google Sign-In and maintain secure sessions.
- Separate real accounts from fictional future dispatches and keep moderation queues accurate.
- Review submissions, reports, spam, scams, abuse, privacy risks, and policy violations.
- Notify users about moderation/account events such as story approval, rejection, hidden content, or future restrictions.
- Protect the service from spam, automated abuse, scraping, fake engagement, harassment, and security threats.
- Understand aggregate usage, performance, and launch-readiness metrics without selling personal data.
Google Sign-In and Google user data
AI Fallout uses Google Sign-In only to authenticate users and create or access their AI Fallout account. We do not request Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or other sensitive Google product data.
Google user data is used for login, account identity, security, moderation, admin access checks, and user-facing account display where appropriate.
- We do not sell Google user data.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising.
- We do not use Google user data to train AI models.
- We do not transfer Google user data except as needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect users, or work with service providers acting on our behalf.
- If we materially change how Google user data is used, we will update this Privacy Policy and require consent where appropriate before using the data in the new way.
Public content
Published stories and published comments are public. Public content can be viewed, shared, indexed by search engines, quoted by others, or archived by third parties outside our control.
If you submit a story anonymously, the public page will not intentionally show your account name or email. Admins may still see account information for moderation, legal, and safety purposes.
Reports and moderation data
Reports, report details, admin notes, account restrictions, and moderation decisions are not public by default. We use this information to investigate abuse, privacy issues, spam, scams, and content that may violate the Terms or Rules.
We may keep moderation records after content is hidden or an account is deleted when needed for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or audit history. Where possible, retained records should avoid unnecessary personal data.
Cookies and sessions
AI Fallout uses cookies and similar session storage for sign-in, authentication, theme preference, security, and basic platform operation.
Blocking cookies may prevent account features from working.
Service providers
We use third-party providers to run the service. These providers process information only as needed to provide infrastructure, authentication, database, analytics, email, security, or deployment services.
- Google for Google Sign-In.
- Vercel for hosting, deployment, logs, and web infrastructure.
- Neon for Postgres database hosting.
- Resend for email delivery if transactional email is enabled.
- Analytics providers such as Vercel Web Analytics if enabled.
Legal, safety, and abuse disclosures
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, security investigation, abuse prevention, rights protection, or a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. If ownership or operating control changes, this policy will be updated as needed.
Data retention
We keep account, story, comment, report, notification, and moderation records for as long as needed to operate the platform, preserve public story pages, prevent abuse, satisfy legal obligations, and maintain audit history.
If you request deletion, we will evaluate whether account data, authored content, or both should be removed, anonymized, or retained for lawful reasons such as safety, fraud prevention, moderation history, or legal compliance.
Your choices
- You can choose whether to sign in with Google.
- You can choose whether to submit stories anonymously or publicly where the product offers that option.
- You can request deletion or correction by contacting info@aifallout.ly.
- You can stop using the service at any time.

Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including secure hosting, database access controls, encrypted transport, session controls, and limited admin access.
No online service can guarantee perfect security. If we discover a security issue that affects users, we will respond based on severity, legal requirements, and user impact.
Children
AI Fallout is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact info@aifallout.ly so we can review and respond.
International use
AI Fallout may be accessed from different countries. Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Privacy rights may vary by location.
